Interesting...any idea about rough pricing? Would have to decide between this or a lambskin jacket next then...

The VTG CM showed up today unexpected. Tracking was 12 hours behind. I got home after work to find my gf and my jacket just hanging out in the living room. She had no idea what was in that gray bag. Well, this thing is a monster.

The idea that it has these buckles on the sides is laughable. You will not make this leather do anything it doesn't want to.

it's noisy as hell, bright white; it looks like the thick leather was a bitch to stitch into a jacket, and the collar needs shaping, but fuck, this beast is beautiful. and of course, it stands up on its own.

sorry about my shitty cam pics. I'm gonna meet up with a real camera later this week.

Haha were you thinking like VTG badass?

I just meant in the sense that your interpretations of things are always awesome, and I've been holding out on a leather duffel in hopes that you would eventually do one.

I would liken the brown bomber to an E90 335i-- it's pretty slick, versatile, and appropriate in all situations. But my second car/jacket will be hot and bombastic...like a burgundy double rider with the buckles and the whole shebang. I guess I would liken this to a GT3 RS with white exterior, red interior, and contrast white stitching.

It's obvious that there would be a huge demand for burgundy in both lamb and calf, why don't you guys source it?

we would if we could. We offer pretty much everything that passes at the quality level we want to sell at. There's obviously a lot more stuff out there but it's not good enough IMO, so you don't see it offered.

you will, someday. I want to make everything, and we kinda inch closer to that as time goes on.

bag making is more akin to furniture design, rather than clothing design, actually. A lot of different considerations and aesthetic values, IMO. I should expound on this more :foo:

I have this silent leather duffle that has a pretty cool shape (basically just a giant envelope, nothing fancy, but I'm afraid to really thrash it. The leather is super thin, and I'm always a little scared it will just tear. I really abuse it, though, so it could be that my fears are undeserved and unwarranted.

One thing I have always wanted is the ultimate weekend duffel; burly enough to survive checking through an airport if you must, luxe enough to throw in the boot of the porsche. The kind of duffel I'll give to my firstborn. I like tween's VTG suggestion....

A couple internal zipped pockets, maybe?

that's a tall order. it's like asking for the SUV that can go from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and also ford 6' of standing water. Might be possible, but it'd very hard. and probably expensive to pull off.

now you're just bullying me. i'm sensitive.

Well, considering the SUV exists, maybe the bag can make it too? :embar:
