As a person who purchased and is still waiting for a veg tan collared moto, I'm getting slightly jumpy as the reports of the jackets made of this particular leather are getting rather infrequent.
Drew, what's going on on this front?
Failed product/material combination, or something else?

nah, just getting made in order that they came in. Had a huge glut of orders around the time before I went off the email and then when Charly went on, it was more than we typically take in orders. It looks like some VTG's are done (?) and waiting on shipping prep.

btw, here's a rough pic of how the Duffle turned out after edits, the yoke and the pocket changes - I like it, it's a bit more reserved and boyish looking than the sample, which was admittedly flashy. This speaks nicely to what I want a duffle to be.

Yeah the cracked pepper should still be on the list. Check with Charly on availability - Dan is the man on the ground over there and Charly speaks to him daily. I am less up to date with the daily happenings as I've been taking a sort of-kind of break for the past couple months after I came back from Korea, because our order log was set in stone.

God you have no idea how many of those people I see weekly...most are bums and pan handlers at that.

Shit, just as I've given up on this years duffle to look good you did just that thing to save it. Still curious as how that hood sits when worn.

actually, I sent over a money wire to Dan for operations and we're still waiting on it to post for the day, he has a bunch of packages already prepped to ship tomorrow, Saturday morning. There'll be some numbers out in about 12 hours. We in the new world have Saturday post still

thanks dudes, as the TOJ duffle has gone through 3 iterations now, I've gone two ways with it previously. The first was the built-in hood, horn, rope and leather combo toggles, and then some curves and stuff here and there... the second was the collared Duffle with the button-off hood, same toggles as before, buttoned flap pockets, etc - that was a lot more structured and had tons of details.... but this year what I really felt attracted to was this idea of a Duffle coat as a cloak'ish wool layer, with the a boyish flair like a school kid would wear. If it were a TOJ version, then it'd need to feature some leather and better materials.. the sample was overboard, my fault; now corrected and I like it a lot better.
It retains the same body pattern as always, so it has a pretty interesting fit, but with the toned down, finer detailing, I think it sways towards 'upgraded traditional style duffle' which is what I was aiming for. There's a zipper in there that you can't see behind the placket too, and you can opt for the quilted polyfill if you want it warm.
