Don't get Wolverines unless you want clunky work boots. You might not want clunky work boots.

Any recommendations for awesome Japanese car mags?

It doesn't have to be about Japanese cars per se. The thing is I've had a look through Kinokuniya's car magazine section and it all looks pretty interesting but they cost a bomb and they're all sealed so I can't flip through any.

Or are they all good and quirky?

Depends on what your usual aesthetic is. I don't really like work boots so I wear RM Williams chelsea boots in a nice black French calf when I want to wear boots.

leather insert on hoody looks good on paper, but it adds too much weight on the hood

congratulations, men - you took the gold, silver, and bronze today.

also, my local styleforum ad on the side was 'hey, loner! aren't you lonely?' (rakuten matchmaking site, lol)

Depends on what you wear, really. What ToJ do you own or would like to own? If you're getting a DR, you probably want something on the sleeker side. For a bomber, you might want something with more heft to it.

With boots, more so than with most other pieces of clothing, you're going to have them for a while, so it's best not to be stuck with something that you end up not liking or that doesn't go with the rest of your day-to-day wardrobe.
