actually, all of you American dudes between like 18 and 30 would get drafted to fight in America's last stand, since all the troops are spread so thinly being the world police. :foo:

They wouldn't let me in the army man, I can't hear, remember? I will be at home drinking a toast to those that do have to go out.

Deafness does have it's advantages  though I was always kinda bummed that I could never become a fighter pilot.

We can, but seeing as Ramune is in glass bottles it's not the wisest thing to proxy..... since we'll have a minimum order of 10,000Y to make it worth anybody's time, and then shipping for 10,000Y worth of glass bottles might be $500

    Someone quote this man.

A couple years ago I bought a bunch of Misono through a Japanese Canadian proxy. Stock models, more than $500 :embar:

Their UX10 was stupidly expensive at the time but I would probably get more if I coud find it at a reasonable price. I would be curious to hear how they are regarded in Japan, like mid-range, or slightly better? You're probably more interested in custom steel that would blow that stuff away... let me know what you come up with.

We are, a good amount of things I believe. Catching up on some orders that were dragging...

I think between the Misono and the Nenohi Nenox that are also popular and come up in conversations, either would be considered 'good' in the realm of Japanese knives. I see them everywhere though, so they are relatively mainstream and not a specialist or tailor-made piece... though most won't need that level anyway. I am gonna go up to some knife shops and see what is good amongst small brands. As with a lot of things here, I've picked up that the ones sold most often to the west are really stylish and impressive looking, but the actual markers of quality actually make for a slightly boring looking knife sometimes - blacked blade, bone handle, blacked collar.
