How many of these rants have you sent to Italian operators selling USD3K-4K jackets of consideraby inferior quality compared to TOJ?

Remember how Woodyear got banned last time? It's because all he did is troll. I don't know what exactly triggered the ban-hammer (I think there's something about a certain number of members putting you on ignore, although I don't know whether that still holds true post-changeover), but all he did before is try to bait people into an argument, regardless of how stupid or pointless it was.

(Hopefully) slightly more productive topic: How does one style a VTG CM? The old jeans/slim boots/t-shirt track works, obviously, but would an older iteration of the SF uniform - say, plaid or chambray button-down, raw denim, brogue boots - also be an option?

I ask (selfishly) because I plan to pick one up at some point, and I have a bunch of plaid shirts and stuff that I don't wear right now because I'm always wearing my BCDR.

^ Any VTG made it out to the wild yet?

Maybe not, since it looks like the calf whisky stuff is/was shipping...and I think that was unveiled shortly before VTG...

Not that I've heard. Looking forward to some pictures and reviews, though. Presumably, people will want to oil them up a bit to soften them before wearing.

at the end of the day, there isn't gonna be a TOJ shearling so how about we all get over it and post more pics of the immaculate shit that IS being produced.

Not sure why it's so complicated. It's the same reason two 0.5 carat diamonds would cost $2000, but a single 1 carat diamond is $4000.

Not sure why this account wasn't banned after all the bitching about the collared moto collar, but now with this it's really time for the banhammer.

Still deciding between a black a2 and a black ribbed collar cwu-45. Big fan of the front pockets and arm office on the cwu-45, but the shearling collar on the a2 would fucking rock for the winter (I don't own a scarf).

Button downs sound good, also some heavy knitwear would be pretty sweet. Jeans or cords, boots or maybe chucks. Earth tones, dense patterns, nifty accessories, etc. would help balance out the more austere look of the jacket. Might be cool layered with a jean jacket or something, you could tie a flannel around your waist a la the Maas and Stacks lookbook.

I don't know, I'm just vicariously e-styling through you because I'm probably not going to get one.

I dunno, I'm planning on it fitting into my current cossack aviator/ part-time bedouin getup; black jeans, black boots, maybe some longer tops? I guess we'll see.

drew already explained this, the shearling for the bomber isn't as expensive because it only has to look good on the shearling side, not the hide side

now can you please shut the fuck up about shearling?

really annoying when you see 50 unread posts on the TOJ thread, think its people blowing up about a dope fit, or a new release, only to find its woodyear douching around...
