Do you have to put your hands from above the pockets? or is there a side slit like how normal pockets are?

I reckon it would be extremely awkward (and hard) to put your hands in vertically.

there's a side slit in both the Bomber and CWU pockets. Depending on the size you buy, and how big your hands are, the pockets may be smallish to small. I have skinny arms but fairly big hands, and I find the Bomber hand pockets just right in my size, but I wouldn't want to make the pockets bigger because it'd make the jacket look off and people would complain to no end.

speaking of side slit, please add hand warmers to the winter jacket. 20F right now and I think I will pass the peacoat and wait for winter jacket.

Late to the TOJ game, thinking of getting a TOJ1. Is the body wool? Also, how thick is it? Not too warm for the SF climate I hope?

TOJ1 isn't all that warm, good for SF. It'll handle our current weather with a sweater underneath but I'd freeze with just a T.

All your weird rambling aside, the aero barnstormer is a full shearling coat, meaning a complete hair on shearling hide, with fqhh bonded to the outside of the shearling. Essentially two complete hides, one shearling, one fqhh. Since it would allegedly cost drew 3k for the shearling coat alone, the equivalent would be roughly 4k for drew to produce. I dont expect you to understand since youre a fanboy, but the aero had twice the material costs of any toj drew would produce, and probably at least twicenthe labor costs of any toj seeing as how aeros are made by unionized leatherworkers in scotland as oposed to mom n pop leather workers in south korea. Miraculously the aero still comes in at 1/3rd drews proposed price, despite better construction, higher material and labor costs. With this many sheep in the flock I cant believe Drew has such a hard time getting shearling hides at a decent price.

Yeah it does actually get easier to use the side slits when it's more worn in. Although I have to form a fist to be able to fit my whole hand in it. And Drews right if the pockets were any bigger it'll look off

Woodyear, how much do you think I pay my workers, per jacket? And I do pay them per jacket, if you were wondering. Just give me a guess.
