He probably shrugged his shoulders in trying to hold both ends of the measuring tape on his shoulders. Standing up straight, chest out, will probably give him a few more inches.

Just get a roommate/friend/girl/mom/dad/grandma/someone to do it for you. Much easier

Here's two quic pics of the camel varsity. Unfortunately it's way to tight in the shoulders so have to sell it and order one in a size up

Size 50 with 0.5 added to length and 1.5 added to the sleeves.

maybe because the TOJ1 are just cut much slimmer as usual?

seeing biggen who iirc has old TOJs screwing up his sizing this may be more of the pattern problem. the amount of toj1s for sale are surprising.

Didn't size down. Went with a size 50 like the other 3 pieces I got but the shoulders are just way too tight on this one. The harrington is also a little tight in the shoulders but works thanks to the shoulder gussets. Just have to realize I'm a 52 after the changes in measurements for the standard sizes.

I think so too. I ordered the same size as my other TOJ wear, a half a size up even, and it ended up being way too small still.

My size 48 TOJ1 is pretty tight as well. I have a size 48 MDR that fits just right, and I used to have a TOJ0 in size 48. I guess I just assumed 48 would work again, but it'd definitely cut a little slimmer.

I got a 37.5-38'ish chest the shoulders on my sz. 48 TOJ1 is a bit tight. The jacket fits great except the shoulders which is really slim. I'm hoping it stretches out a bit with time.

Yeah, nothing wrong with how it looks, but think I would actually have preferred it if the sleeve were white instead of beige. Hopefully it gets sold quickly so I can get a new one, but might go with light grey instead.
