I'm planning on ordering a jacket this week, and I was wondering why the mid section measurement is larger than the waist? I assume it's so it can "puff out" above the ribbing instead of just tapering to look as if it was one piece. I ask because I'm measuring my 2.2 Bomber, and my midsection is about 18" and the waist is about 17". The old website has it as 18.5" and 16.2" respectively. The current set in sleeve measurements for a 44 midsection and waist is 17.2" and 17.6". I don't know if it's just me, but I kind of prefer the smaller waist, but I'm also not sure if it's a good idea to go against Drew's better judgement. I really like the fit on my bomber, and after measuring it, I would just get a 44 with 46 body lengths(+1") and 48 sleeve lengths(+2") to get the same fit in every regard except this waist thing.

Should I go off my current jacket or trust the chart? Here's a pic with it zipped up a bit and without the shearling for reference:

yes, and yes. And yes TOJ1's were really popular, hence we had to get the camel through the eye of the needle there.

I am in Korea! and we're working on new jawnz and doing diplomacy. Stuff is good. We're going to re-up on materials that I need to see personally, blah blah.

That isn't the biggest news of the day though; after coming back and talking with Dan, we realized that we needed the third man job filled again due to the email traffic - so Charly is back at TOJ, just the same as ever. Don't flood him with sizing questions though. He will be there to answer your emails starting now.

Good to hear you guys are doing well enough to add another person. I think Drew would've killed himself doing emails for a few more months.

True that. Most likely going to sell my TOJ1 and reorder one in a size up...if the new releases aren't what I am looking for.

Also would like to know. Hopefully not til the winter coats come out, I am hoping there is something in that group I might want such as a minimal duffel, but if not I am just going to order a TOJ1 like I originally planned.

If the TOJ1 does not work out size wise for anyone who ordered a 50, I would be interested in buying.

    Cheers
