FL, you have to sweating your balls off if it's as hot in OH as in MI.

    looks really good though.

^ true, I took it off right away, even indoors I was dying. I was previously wearing a hanes tee and shorts, nobody wants to see that shit.

Wow. What a great colour and fit :slayer:

Call me crazy, but I've been trying on different varsities in anticipation. I think I'll submit the jacket measurements of the one I like the best when the time comes.

Surprisingly, Zara's has fit me the best so far.

Pics for those who want a look. Green is a size up. Not sure which fit I like most.

real nice, but i would have preferred it in min dr, as this looks a little too busy

its advisable when choosing a lighter color to go for a more simple design

A Fellow Linguist that looks amazing, One of the few double rider fits that I really loved. I think its the colour.

impolyt, do you do suede name patches for the MA-1? I really liked the one that the guy got in the gallery but I thought to myself that it wouldve looked a lot nicer with a suede patch

Thanks for the kind words guys, I really love the jacket. I was completely floored when I opened the package, the leather quality is amazing as everyone has been saying. The sand tan is gorgeous and I wish my camera could capture it properly, because I feel like it would be a much more popular choice if people knew what they were in for. Drew advised me to go with a different color / model combination during the ordering process, but I this just feels really right to me. I love the 2010 DR design, but the detailing is pretty aggressive, and I feel like getting it in one of the "non-traditional" colors makes it a bit more quirky, and less biker-y. The hardware is a lot heftier than I was expecting, too. I can't imagine it ever breaking down.

As for the fit, it's exactly what I was expecting. I ordered a 44 with some added length in the body and sleeves. It was kinda funny, I never actually measured myself or a jacket, just eyeballed it from pics of my chesterfield. Worked fine, though, it really isn't rocket science. I think a lot of dudes are going for a really tight fit with their TOJ, but mine falls more on the regular/slim side- I definitely have room to breathe + layer. And the cut of the jacket is so excellent and forgiving I was never worried about getting a tight fit in the body, same experience I had with my chesterfield. Sleeves are stock widths, I thought about requesting slimmer arms but didn't want to throw off the balance of the jacket. It was the right decision, I think. Overall I'm super satisfied, probably the nicest garment I own and worth every penny.
