It's such a simple design just about any colour will look good. The medium grey is nice, I reckon it would look great in whiskey, red, blue or just about anything you'd care to throw at it.

Are shearling jackets one of those products that'll be previewed in August?
I still can't decide if I'll need one in San Diego. :uhoh:

red lamb was a one time thing?
I thought it was just some other type of leather in red.

Drew- What was the trick to getting you to see e-mails? Am I supposed to delete the subject line?

I can't really re-order the Uncontrol DR if I size it wrong so I am super paranoid :(

Drew needs like a sample DR made out of burlap

Don't even need to order 2 jackets, honestly anyone can get a great fitting jacket in one go. It's a matter of measuring, and common sense.

Been gone man, I was taking the first vacation from TOJ I've ever gotten to take. I had been taking orders from guys who could fit their orders in a message or two (ie. "hi I want to order a black CWU-45 in size 46 and I am sending you payment now) but people who sent me messages like "hi, these are the measurements from my old jacket, off the old chart - can you look at the new chart and tell me what size I need?" - those I ignored hoping that people would figure that much out on their own.

I do think people need help on body length and sleeve length.

As, a well fitting jacket might be a good baseline, but I think some suggestions on length based on the jacket is crucial.

For example, a DR, you might want to be shorter than a bomber. And they might be measuring a nice peacoat they have...lmao.

But it'd double my work as well... seriously man, I am not kidding, there are people who email me over 100 times for one order... if I considered that I get paid nowadays by the hour, I'd be about at buck or two and hour, no joke.

This is... common sense. In any case, the fit would still be okay by normal standards - and by hyper-picky, near-ridiculous SF standards of fit (ie not a single wrinkle, break, pull, etc) then one might want to chalk it up as a first time MTM experience, as is the case with many clothes on SF. Keep in mind that TOJ has like a 90-95% first-time success rate with fits, done blind... it's not hard.

Well what I posted doesn't list anywhere "ask Drew a question or ten about your own measurements", but I take your point, and empathize. Also, I'm going to go ahead and guess that Unc is bearing down on that 100 email threshold.

He's actually not, Uncontrol is one amongst a few of the very coolest, most laid back customers I've had so far. he's been understanding that it takes some time if you want a great fit and something special, not the usual "oh my god Drew I ordered two weeks ago, why isn't this jacket with a completely hand drawn custom pattern and 10 superfluous modifications to your standard design that I'll forget I even ordered come delivery time that your manufacturing guy will get angry over not done yet?!?!?
