Actually 2" is probably a bit excessive, especially if he's a 44. 1" for the kind of look he's probably going for should be fine though, it's just a half inch higher up on each side.

Tighter DR is necessary because any less turns it into a cool-dad/sloppy idiot look. swooc, your jacket isn't sausage casing tight but it's still slimmer than most of the DRs that people have ordered, and he definitely needs to tighten up measurements almost everywhere to get a look similar to even yours.

Anyones AE Harrington or MA1 jackets shipped yet? I am eager to see some pics :)

So far the 6 week wait has been tough, the end product will be worth it though!

There's no way anyone can accurately tell you how many inches to lose just from looking at it.

That, sticks precise recommendations are laughable (especially shoulder mention).

Actually, considering I eyeballed those numbers off a small picture, I think I did pretty damn well.

He wants to go from a 46 to a 44. The differences in measurements between those two sizes according to the official ToJ sizing chart are:

    Shoulders: -1"
    Chest: -1"
    Midsection: -0.9"
    Bicep: -0.4"
    Elbow: -0.3"

Other than the slightly aggressive shoulder measurement, I wasn't too far off, and honestly, 0.5" more in the shoulder is nothing. You'd only notice that quarter of an inch on each side if you were already too fat to fit in the standard 44 shoulders anyways.

Man just saw this keen for a meet up. Any other time schedule wouldn't mind to get a proper measuring.

Alright Im getting on a plane, gonna be offline for the next 24 hrs or more, since I gotta sleep when I get home too. There's a few unread emails in the inbox, but the emails and questions are kinda devolving back into silly questions that could be answered on one's own because honestly, I don't know the answer to how long or short a jacket should be for you if I've never seen you in my life, or people just throwing me a bunch of vague information and making me size people from scratch - I don't do that, I don't have time. My job isn't (and can't) be to size people, all you gotta do is look at the chart and figure out what looks like it'll be good. The leather jackets are completely MTM and you can adjust any measurement as needed, so there shouldn't be many problems...

Dear everyone: here is how you size a TOJ.

    1. Take measurements from a jacket that fits you well.
    2. Look at the size chart.
    3. Buy one with similar measurements.
    2. When it gets there, it will probably look pretty damned good.
    4. Buy another one, adjusting the measurements of the first one.
    5. ???
    6. Profit.

The benefit of my method is you get 2 TOJs.

What color for a 2-zip 2011 Moto? Already have a black mDR. I was thinking dark grey, but I heard that was discontinued. Black? Medium Grey? Don't want brown...
