The third pair, as already mentioned, fits much better. The middle pair does no favours especially.

the far right looks good, even better with a pair of boots

stay away from tapered jeans as the will only make you look like a carrot

straight leg is the cut you should be looking for, and always buy it tight so you can allow for the inevitable stretching

Thanks for the tips guys, I'm not too keen on the tighter jeans because they seem to cut off circulation to my legs, but for the sake of fashunz I suppose I have no choice...

What other unzipped angles do you want Drew?

Here's the one I posted earlier:

Also one thing I would suggest people be wary of - is that these jackets appear to attract cats (as I discovered tonight):

Body looks better for the aggressive cut but jesus those sleeves are a trainwreck in comparison to the body now. Way too long, and I really hope that you have the cuff undone in those pics, because if it is buttoned/zipped up, you got the cuff width waaay too wide. Sleeve width everywhere is too wide, you'd seriously need to pack on about 5" onto your biceps and 6" onto your forearms to make them look right.

Also, your hair looks like a glorious lions mane.

I think he just needs to zip-up the cuffs so it tapers a bit.

Overall, I think the problem with that altered jacket is that the torso were tapered but not the shoulders which looks more relaxed and then heavily pulls in the mid-section. It definitely looks better un-zipped but even then it looks like the jacket slims down too much from top to bottom.

If you like it though, wear it and enjoy. And as others have suggested, you need better jeans and shoes.

Received at the start of the week. After all the drama, I am really happy with the size. Bit of room still in the chest/shoulders, slim through the body and, admittedly, fairly snug around the waist. Guess I need to get rid of that bit of belly I have been keeping around. Only comment is that the arms seem a bit long, but this isn't enough to really bother me. It's a great jacket, and yes it is fairly heavy for a spring/summer jacket, but It is fine for what I bought it for (more of an autumn/winter/spring sort of deal. It isn't exactly freezing here). Thanks again to Drew for helping me out. (sorry about the shitty pictures with a shitty camera. I leave for overseas today and won't have a chance to take better ones for a few weeks).

slightly long sleeves seems to be a trend here. Future buyers take note.

Slightly longer sleeves look good with bombers and baseball jackets because of the cuffs. I think a .5'' to 1'' increase in the sleeve length looks great to show a slight break.

    Looks great, Woody.

Yeah, my sleeves are a touch longer than is absolutely necessary, which is how I wanted them. Baseball jacket looks great.

Agreed that slimmer jeans = better for Grug. I say if it's relatively easy to pinch some fabric on the thighs when you're sitting down, they're plenty big enough. Any more and they'll most likely just look billowy.

And seriously, Jason Schwarzman, new actor? Rushmore was 1998. :fu:

Haven't been on the forum in quite a while and I see the Varsity is looking to make a return :slayer: Drew how long are you planning on offering them? Hopefully at least for a few weeks. Want to get one but have to pay off a ticket but would be able to buy in 3-4 weeks.

yes. can't make a sample til i get back anyway. Won't be a reversible TOJ1 though, not enough reversible zipperheads for that.
