lol, thanks. if I were to get a toj, I think it would be that.

how warm are leather jackets? Would a toj with a merino cardigan and a button down underneath be warm enough for ~30ºF days?

It really depends on the leather, I've only handled 3 TOJ pieces, ma1, OG first varsity and DR and the DR was mad thick, could definitely survive with that fit I think, but not colder. I also am not bothered by cold at all, I haven't had a substantial winter jacket in a few years.

Scott, if that's the case than you will be able to wear yours through winter. I biked in my calf bomber all last winter in NYC and it was perfect, especially since physical activity heats you up.

Figured as much, gonna do mine with down vest over or down shirt under, anyway, Mr Jawnz has a Junya Duffle set aside for me that is warmer than hell. [IMG] TOJ will have swagged me out severely this year.

^ lol. I envy posters who have such clear cut preferences (jet being a good example as well).

computurd - I believe we've got a similar frame and from the pics, the length of that Moto definitely looks ideal.

Also, that pic of Hiroki wearing a Bomber a few pages ago, thought it was brown at first but I guess it's a dark burgundy color?

Does TOJ offer that? I mean, c'mon son!

my lamb dr can definitely handle this with a thin cardigan and a scarf.

The DR is doable with gloves, a scarf and a turtleneck. But on a cold snap you'll need a parka or long coat.

Probably. I wear my DR with only a t under it in 40~ degree nights..

remember that the DR doesn't really suit excess layering IMO. You wouldn't want to be wearing much more than a thin knit and a t. nothing heavy.

If you want to layer i think the bomber is the best choice.
