1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Debit cards linked to bank accounts don't have the same chargeback provisions as credit cards. Federal regulations for banks are different than credit card companies like Mastercard or Visa, and often require a different standard of proof for chargebacks.

In the main, though, it depends entirely on a combination of the financial institution and the consumer protection laws of your particular location. As shown, some people in the UK have had success with disputes based on the UK's (apparently more robust than America's) consumer protection laws, and the particular financial institution they were working with was gracious enough to waive the time limit for disputes.

Kinda strange/sad that Drew's gone from making much-loved leather jackets to frying chicken.

He reminds me of a low-rent Bill Wyman.

Seriously, who eviscerates a thriving clothing company to get into foodservice?

I've owned a foodservice company; I would have gladly murdered someone to have been making jackets instead.

i'm sure you enjoy reading the national enquirer as your trusted and reputable go-to news source. please do tell me more about the kardashians and caitlyn jenner.

at the very least, you're incredible naive if you think james is doing his piece purely out of goodwill.

Really? You do? Personally, I hope he's out of business by then, selling knock-off gucci purses to tourists on the street, surviving on cans of Alpo that he shares with his dog. And I mean the generic Alpo shit, not even their premium cuts line. Forget about Eukanuba or Blue Buffalo.

Do you guys think that if I threaten my bank with closing my accounts and taking my money somewhere else they'd be willing to action a chargeback?

Not that I have millions in that account (I wish) but the amount is several orders of magnitude bigger than the chargeback.

I was reading on Reddit the other day a thread which involved some kind of scam and there were people saying that banks generally won't risk losing a customer over a relatively small chargeback request.

Well if your order was $800, several orders of magnitude is a boat load considering only 3 orders is $800k

Anyways, if you're willing to back up your talk with action, go for it. They gave me a hard time, and I only had a few k.

Worth a shot, but you have to be prepared to actually walk away.
