1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I don't know how they track orders but they've been in business for a long time and are very successful at it.

Idk how it can be 15 months considering we're 15 months from July and the majority of those orders haven't been fulfilled.

In a week they will be 16 monthss.

Apparently July orders are done and just need to be shipped.

You forget. The "15 months" estimate is still a TOJ estimated date. We all know how accurate those are.

"Drew is planning on fulfilling the orders" is very scary wording.

Just got off the phone with AMEX. They said disputes can be opened at any point.

Sorry; why? Shouldn't it be reassuring to those who are thinking there is genuine fraud in progress?

Every time we get a new lead time whether it's "15 months" or "about a month or two out " and it passes by is like a kick in the groin

Imagine getting your jacket after 1.5-2 years and having it come fucked up.

Just read this in another thread:
Every time I see the ToJ thread up toward the top of the recently updated list, I have to remind myself not to click. I probably signed my own death warrant by sending back a couple of jackets that had issues (wrong sleeve opening on one, wrong lining on the other). I miss those jackets, but probably the best thing I can do right now is put them out of my mind and have faith that one day in the future, they'll show up on my doorstep (or more likely be hand-delivered, since I've had to sign for them in the past).

I should have just been patient and purchased a secondhand MDR.
My secondhand MA-1 and A2 arrived in like new condition and without drama.

So, I asked for a refund on both of my orders today (a TOJ0 and an A2--both from August 2013).

Charly responded promptly and said that he'd "inform Drew."

Two hours later I got a paypal transfer for the TOJ0 amount from a random person; I assume that Charly just "sold my spot" to someone else.

Ultimately, I'm bummed that it turned out like this. When I placed my first order I was so damn excited (so much so that my wife offered me to give me some extra money for a TOJ0). A nice leather jacket was an item that I had always dreamed of as a kid, and TOJ seemed just my style.

I have no idea if Drew has the intention, the capital, or the care to fulfill all of these orders in a timely manner, but I just can't wait any longer to find out.

When I sent my refund request, part of me had hoped that Charly would respond "No can do. It's already been made and is being shipped next week." But obviously that's not the case.

I hope that more of you "vote with your wallets." If you don't like the way a company treats you, don't do business with them. Too many people in this thread give TOJ more credit than their product is worth (by a mile). They could make the nicest leather jackets in the world, for the best bottom line, and it's not worth (to me at least) being treated like an after-thought.

My wife and I are going to go jacket shopping with the refund money, and hopefully I'll be rocking a sick jacket next week.

^ I think many of us would willingly vote with our wallets, but we aren't actually being allowed to do so, are we? It doesn't mean much if they simply find some other sucker to keep the $$ circulating by buying our "spot." We get out of it, but someone else is on the hook, and TOJ nets the money anyway.

That's crazy that you got a paypal transfer from a random person with no explanation.
Charly's selling refunded spots now? Who the hell bought that? WTF?!
