1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

i think the biggest reason people are getting antsy is that not only are the wait times much longer than expected, but we don't seem to be progressing through orders. With each batch being sent out at increasingly spaced intervals, it seems like the jacket outflow is coming to a standstill.. I've been tiding myself over by buying toj jackets off the marketplace, so I know that I'm going to get a quality jacket once it arrives, but if people are quitting from the toj business as it closes shop (which seems to be a big reason for the slowing production), i think there is a legitimate worry that we may never see the jackets, even if we are refunded the cost :\

For the price of the jackets, it's not even worth anyone's time trying to take legal action, though.

Hey JFetter, your toffee tan rider was the main inspiration for my order of a lambskin MDR, also in toffee tan. Very eager to see how yours has held up, and would be hugely grateful if you could post some pictures of it--maybe in sunlight, even?

The moto was a limited Italian calfskin TOJ carried a few years back.

No they're the same, just under different light and the red isn't really that bright it does have a waxyness to it. If anyone's thinking of one of those soft calf leathers I would def recommend they're really nice and soft unlike the other calf, even softer and more pliable than the Italian calf I have. I'm probably gonna be selling my quilted red moto in size 50ish, doesn't really get much wear anymore, been sitting for a while now. If anyone's interested lemme know.

It's more reminiscent of the detail picture, it's more of a warm red.

This is what I've been thinking as well. After that last shipment, it seems it just stopped once again. I know there are a lot of orders when the cutoff was announced but there are still June/July orders that haven't been received. I know some TOJ staff left (or maybe one) but aren't the jackets made by outside sources? I'm thinking production should still continue regardless of Sally or somebody else leaving the crew.

There's only 1 person now who visits the workshops to pick up jackets for shipping. I don't know if the same number of people are making jackets or if Drew already stopped using certain shops. It seems likely he might have a while back when certain items fell of the proverbial menu.

Wow! That MW is veryy red. Nice looking jacket.

So, the bright red moto was from way back from a limited run of italian calf. Ok,

Are there any pics of the "soft" calf in red?

This is not meant as a critique of TOJ (I am a seasoned TOJ'er myself), but knowing that: people who ordered in June 2013 still have not received their jackets, keeping true to any given time estimates is not a priority for the company (i.e. no apparent effort to find new workshops to help reduce the massive queue) and the fact that shipments of new jackets become increasingly infrequent (at least that is what I take from this thread); what compels you to order a jacket now that you have absolutely no clue when you will receive? I mean, at this rate, it will be years and years before you have it. A lot can change in your life in that time frame (body size, style, financial situation etc.). I personally ordered a wallet recently, partly to support Drew, and partly because it was promised to be created in different workshop and thus arrive this summer. But ordering a TOJ jacket at this point seems pointless to me.

I have never really understood: is the business just closing, or is he’s trying to find someone to take over and continue it?
