1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

For those of you in college (or not yet in college), where did you / do you get the funds for TOJ jackets? I hope it's not too intrusive a question. It's just that I couldn't dream of owning one of these coats when I was that age.

weird situation for me.. my grandma gave me a pen, that was a gift to her boyfriend and he didn't really care for. it was a Mont blanc. sold for $650 and rest of it was paid off from my job.

    much appreciated :)

edit: I make good enough money that I could afford another one pretty easily if I was careful with my spending. most of my money goes towards food/gas/beer/weed/insurance and I'm paying off a good sum of my money for my honda ruckus right now. I'm doing 25-30 hours a week, 5 nights a week at an italian restaurant, though. if I was at college I wouldn't be able to (comfortably).

worked about 30 hours a week over the summer doing web design stuff, pretty good pay, have a good financial aid deal, don't drink much.

I basically only spend money on food over break, dates, and clothes at this point.

    I'm a freshman.

    ^^^

Good call, TOJ >>>>>> Pen. Jesus, what the hell makes a pen worth $650? Is it made out of solid gold and inhabited by the spirit of Dickens?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but what completes your TOJ outfit? What pair of jeans / pants look best? What shoes, shirts, sweaters, etc.? Trying to understand how everyone pulls from their wardrobe to best show off their jackets.

Pen collectors would ask you exactly the same thing about TOJ leather jackets ...

Bear in mind that there are Mont Blanc collectors who will buy this because it's one of the Writer's limited edition models.

I would also like to know this. I'm thinking my raws (which will have faded well by the time my jacket comes), plain t shirt, low top white CPs? maybe my brown boots with the raws sometimes.
Also probably black jeans and white CPs? I can't decide between the achilles low or the bball CPs or high top training boots lol. I've seen a TOJ DR worn with CP combat boots and it looked nice.

Edit: @Cole what jacket is coming in for you?
