While that was the original design element, I tend to disagree. Majority of us aren't riding bikes or flying a plane, so we really shouldn't be sizing our riders and A-2 bombers based on that . If we truly cared how rider jackets are meant to be, we wouldn't be ordering lamb rider jackets anyways. It wouldn't be functional if you really ride a motorcycle.

I sized my lamb rider to hit my coin pocket on my jeans since I have a small torso. Since these jackets are made to measure, that's the luxury of design that we have.

However, I'm really considering one last jacket with a medium whisky calf in the DR 2013 and for that style of jacket, I would go a bit more cropped.

There's no right or wrong answer. Some people like the cropped look, some don't. Some people have perfectly sized t-shirts, some have long slouchy ones that make the jackets appear more cropped.

I ride my bike to my fighter jet and size so that I can e-mail Charly about sizing adjustments while driving/flying.

WTB OG leather rider pants that goes up to my bellybutton to wear with my cropped-to-OG-length BCDR. To whom should I send the measurement?

I ordered a few days ago as well. (Does it really take 4-5 months? ) moto 2011 black lamb 4 silver zips. My measurements:

    5'8" 155lbs

    Chest:40
    S2s:17.5
    Mid:30.5
    Waist:31
    Front length:20
    Sleeve:23.5
    Biceps:14.5

    His recommendations

    S2s: 17.4
    P2p:21.1
    Midsection:18.2
    Waist:18.6
    Front length:21
    Back length:23
    Sleeve: 24
    Biceps: 7.4
    Elbow:6.3
    Wrist:4.9

I said I preferred an athletic fit. No layering.I'm confident it will fit fantabulous. Me and you shall have a fit pic battle.
Just curious, but I see you have a decent chest to Waist ratio but relatively small arms. Is that just genetic? I mean, Do you workout or is that just natural? Or did you puff out your chest a bit when you measured? Just wondering because I hope I measured right.
Again, is it really gonna take 4 or 5 months?

you ordered a moto as well?

Ouch, I was hoping it was more of an exaggeration. Ugh. Oh well, I live in the Bay Area so it's just about toj moto weather year round except maybe summer in the day so I'm not really missing a season. I just can't wait till I get my grubby hands on the jacket is all.

General question for people with the black lamb,

my olive lamb moto gives off a pretty strong leather smell up to about 4ft away, while my girls black lamb has very little to no smell.

Does anyone have black lamb that gives off a strong smell of leather?

I'm impartial either way, but just curious if it varies from jacket to jacket or if in general the black lamb doesn't have much if a smell to it.

I have two black lamb jackets and neither of them smell unless you're like smashing your nose against the leather. definitely not something that someone standing a few feet away would notice.

Uncontrol rider aging gracefully. Also, I like your fits way so much more than before (when you post).

Thanks! Things have changed a lot since I ordered this jacket, so I'm relieved to see I can still work it into things.

If you had pre-ordered or ordered from an international site, I think they go up to 36" maybe? But doubtful to find it now :(

Well only need 34, but if they're sold out doesn't matter. Will have to pay more attention to attachment thread :)

did this jacket get a special/extra wash? it always looks much more matte than the other washed lambskin jackets (the ones made from hides washed in drew's washing machine)
