"Ewwww" isn't a matter of knowing what I'm talking about or not. it's an opinion, a personal preference. While you say people would pay a lot of money for that look, others might not. I'm one of those.

I'm afraid your response is the ignorant one, since you assume one size fits all and don't seem to recognize personal opinions.

He has a point. You're the one pushing your opinion onto him by calling him ignorant.

I personally don't mind graininess but I like to be the one who breaks it in and creates it. A little on a new jacket is fine though, looks more natural and gives it character.

I got my tracking email just now...but my flight has already landed :(

This mean's I can't follow my jacket across the sky this time
although it also means I will have my jacket today or tomorrow

I can also reiterate that each skin has different character depending on the batch. While my lamb MDR is only grainy on a very small scale, the sleeves on my varsity are verrrry veiny, which I think looks pretty cool!

Yeah my varsity sleeves are really grainy too. Dr and ma-1 aren't at all.

Just been doing a slight bit of research on the TOJ Ma-1.

Who do I even email to get hold of one of these in the smallest size available?(probably..)

They look incredible. I'm in the uk though so I doubt this Drew guy ships them over here??

What site though cyc? All I've found is the TOJ gallery? Unless I'm blind...

To be fair, that gives it as the 'unofficial' site, for information. It's not unreasonable for a newcomer to presume there's another, official site that deals with orders.

    Two Questions:

    1. Is the suiting wool Ma-1 an appropriate jacket for Michigan winters (with or without layering)?

    2. Does anyone know how much longer they are taking orders? Thanks.

Did the OP ever comment on what colour, was that Portobello? Its certainly an eye catching jacket. Im guessing FQHH is up there with calf in terms of the thickness v weight and drape.

I think the 2 zip on a big guy would create the "expanse of leather" effect that drew has specifically labeled as the issue with the 2 zip.

Anyway, whoever was talking about lamb in the rain a few pages back: my lamb jacket has kept me dry on various rainy days. It does absorb the water, but it didn't get through to me. Also the lamb ages beautifully in the process. Pics soon.
