Maybe one leather jacket then? Or two jackets, one leather and one wool bodied?

It's not every day that people can plan regret with such clarity.

Cole; that damage doesn't look that bad, If I were you, I'd try to save some cash, pull the fender off and hammer it out from the other side if possible (there may be some structure on the inside of the fender that would need to be removed or worked around).

From there it probably won't look nearly as bad. Hell, some white spraypaint would probably cover it from there for the time being.

he was probably exaggerating, but if you go into debt and can't pay it off, you start having to make interest payments and then you gotta split between paying off the interest and buying things for yourself (necessities or not)

and then, maybe, since you're already in debt, you start thinking to yourself that, hey, might as well buy some more stuff since i'm already in debt anyway and a little more wouldn't hurt and yada yada (like a slippery slope)

now i'm not gonna claim to know distorbiant and i'm not gonna say with certainty that he's the type of dude who's susceptible to the above mindset, but it's a possibility

also, distorb, once again i don't know how strapped for cash you are atm since idk you, but imagine what it might be like having to sell one of the jackets you got 'cause times just got that rough

wouldn't it be more crushing to have to sell one you got really attached to than to have never had it to begin with?

in the end, though, it's all up to you

if you do end up buying them, i really hope that you have how you're going to manage the rest of your funds from there on planned out really, really well

I'm all for instant gratification (I have student loans out the ass and I still got a couple) but I wouldn't go into credit card debt for two jackets. If you're struggling week-to-week or month-to-month, hold off.

You're going off to college? Just one good jacket is enough--most of us got by on none. There's a ton of unexpected costs when you're living on your own.

That's enough money talk. I can't wait til this heat wave ends so I can wear something other than shorts and a t. Too many jackets wasting away in the closet.

Word. I went into Uni with virtually no clothing. I was dirt poor, had a couple shitty fitting pairs of pants and tacky t-shirts falling apart at the seams. Now that I can afford more, I certainly buy it up, but I, and most other guys here got by just fine with shit all. You'll get enough girls with alcohol, Distorb.

if y'all wanted an update, charly says they'll be taking orders for a couple more weeks, lead times are 20weeks.

Has anyone had any experience with customs fees? I just don't wanna be charged $300 on top of a $800 jacket.

Speaking of jacket, I was planning to get a woman's QDR: black lambskin, channel quilt, silver hardware. (yes I am a girl, yes I am in the classic menswear part of SF) I'm not too sure if I want the quilting though, does anyone have photos of the WQDR?

Customs are going to depend on your country, but the vast majority of people don't get hit with crazy fees. I think I've heard of $60 from someone in the UK. They really can't calculate the true value of the jacket without recognizing it's a ToJ and checking the price online, which is never, ever going to happen unless Drew decides to go full retail on our asses. The value marked on the package keeps customs uninterested.

I had two jackets come in the same package once and they marked it as $30 and it got through customs fine.

This isn't Classic Menswear. Please don't group us with those people. Ugh.

But yeah, get the quilting IMO. It just gives the jacket so much more character.

the OG BCDR with the microdiamond quilt is still the best tho.

Anyone own the a2 and cwu?

I bought my a2 2 years ago and found that compared to my new cwu, the leather is much thicker and smoother.

Even the smell is different. The cwu has a plastic smell, like pleather?
My a2 was brown, cwu is black, is coloring the reason? Or have toj changed their leather recently?

Black lamb is the best leather offered. Do you really think they sent you a pleather jacket?

There's a difference between the brown lamb and black lamb from my experience. The brown is much thicker and the black is thinner.

So I'm gonna drop yet another open request for suggestions on you guys, hope that's cool.

Right now I've got a brown lamb collared moto, and it's basically all I wear when weather is appropriate. I don't *need* another jacket, but I have the ability to pay and the prospect of TOJ disappearing is making me want to get one more.

So the deal is that as much as I love the other rider designs I think I'd like something significantly different. I'm currently thinking A2 in dark brown goat, CWUin black, or a suede T-3 in an undetermined color (on that note, I'm unschooled on the difference between the T-1 and T-3, so feel free to enlighten me).

I love both of the bomber designs. On the A2 I like it in brown but kinda feel like it will be just a bit redundant with a brown CM in terms of warmth as well as color and silhouette; I know it's different from a rider in a lot of important ways but I feel like I'd never say "the A2 would really be better than CM for this outfit." My leaning towards the dark brown goat is partially to make it more different from the CM. Again, please enlighten me.

The CWU would be different from what I've got, especially in black, but I'm still in the fashion phase where I'm worried that black outerwear won't go with much of what I wear -- indigo jeans or earth tone/charcoal chinos, standard white/blue/grey OCBDs, work shirts, etc. with brown boots, however I also have recently started doing more sneakers with solid tees which I know would fit with the black more.

The suede T-3 I like a lot because I'm under the impression that it's lighter weight (which I may be mistaken about) as well as being a much different look both because of the styling and the suede. As mentioned above I'm unsure of coloring, but thinking something a little unusual like the green or blue options.

So that's my rambling. Does anyone have any opinions or corrections to my assumptions? Thanks!
