1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Here's a Paul Smith peacoat I bought from A/W 11/12. Notice how it has 4 pockets, and would have been designed at least a year in advance (2010).

ToJ's Admiral Peacoat is beautiful, but it's a peacoat, it's all been done before.

Those pockets have little in common with the Admirals coat. Again, you're kind of stading the obvious in a rather butthurt manner. Please disregard my post. I thought it would be interesting to people, but obviously it only worked to induce annoyance here.

Is it possible to be too old to wear the varsity?

Piling on in this thread is expected. When Drew pointed out the similarities between his suiting wool MA-1 and APC's, everyone nodded and agreed.

You'll also note that Drew himself said it was probably a coincidence.

You picked a very traditional style of jacket from a company that has been around for over a hundred years as someone that may be drawing influence from TOJ.

Your example was bad. No butts were hurt in the process.

This is what you basically identified.

Had you found an example like this, more people would be inclined to agree.

Alright guys. I've paid for a couple ToJs in the past few months - a TOJ0 (paid in May) and a QDR (Paid on Monday). I'm getting both in black. I might be able to scrounge up enough money for a third, and I'm having a tough time deciding what to get. I'm leaning towards either a Brown A2 or a Black CWU-45/P. To be honest, I like the Black CWU more, but I'm worried that then I'll have 3 Black ToJs. Do you think I should go with the black or go with something different?

(Another possibility would be a dark brown CWU like pictured on the site, but I hear the common advice is CWUs should be black and A2s should be brown. On second thought, screw the common advice. I do what I want)

nothing wrong with three black tojs. if you wear mainly black I'd get the cwu. if you wear colors/earth tones/have to dress business casual then get the a2. think about what's in your wardrobe now and how you'd wear the a2 or the cwu. personally, I'd get the a2. but I don't wear very much black.

Electric Blue QDR, please excuse the less-then-ideal picture. Great jacket, thanks to the TOJ crew

Thanks (young) man. I kind of knew all this, but I work at a place with no dress code, so I don't even have to wear business casual. Right now I wear colors and raw denim and crap, but maybe its time to go monochrome. I think I'm definitely getting a CWU over the A2, I'll decide on the color later (dark brown vs black).

so since I never contribute anything really useful to this thread here's a quick fit pic of my toj1.

    Lamb is shiny because flash

weird crease on arm from laying down for summer retirement ( :( )

shitty outfit because work clothes, just threw on the toj

    face covered because awkward

I should really quit making all these excuses and get a good fit pic lol
