I'm sorry to hear that, man. Thanks for sharing though. I'll keep all of what you said in mind when I'm submitting measurements for my next jacket, since I would prefer that it fit like my MDR.

With the 2010DR, I had a feeling that the fit and silhouette of the jacket I received might have been the intended one (I acknowledged that I was comparing a jacket desiged in 2010 with one that came out in 2011) and that other people had sized their sleeves to be shorter and tighter. I remembered reading a post from another user that older jackets like the 2010DR may have been influenced by the older 5zip cut. I definitely saw this in the shape of the sleeves and the wide opening of the cuffs, but I wanted to ask before making that assumption. Thanks for clearing this up and shedding some light on the situation though. :satisfied:

Dam man your wrists are 5.5"? Mines around 5.75". My MDR's cuffs measures out to be like 5". I actually sent a video to Charly of me measuring the new cuff on my moto, but he said Dan measures it a bit different. I'm just paranoid that the cuffs might come out big again on my next order (that diesel blue bcdr) that I requested it to be 4.5". Rationale being that I can just unzip the cuffs a bit if its too snug. After I got my moto back from Charly the new cuffs measure out to be 5.5"... Oh well, I guess I'll just embrace the loose cuffs and buy a Seiko submariner or something to fill the void.

it'll be a good thing when mtm disappears as these kind of issues will disappear for both the toj team and for us. its hard to be complacent with an article of clothing you know could be taken an inch here, there etc.

Thanks for your input, Is this a TOJ0 2013? The fit looks very nice.

Thanks for your help, thats the route I will probably take.. I'll definitely set aside some money for my first TOJ leather.. I'm really liking the Moto 2011, the others are just too "busy" for my liking.

This is actually a very very nice fit, exactly what I was aiming for.. You said you took a 56? The TOJ0 2013 only goes up to a 54 though, mind sharing your body measurements?

Thanks. TOJ1 ordered a couple weeks before it got discontinued. Notice the zipper vs snaps.

I am also pretty broad with some sort of a drop and find that the MTM leathers do fit alot better just because you can get more of a taper in the waist and add some with to the arms/pit area so your muscles don't bulge out in a bad way. I did find that the TOJ0 2011 had more room in the sleeves, but the body would look boxy if i sized for my shoulders - making me look fat overall. I have another leather coming in a few months with an increase in size to my last jacket, hopefully it will accomodate well.

Damn... now I'm worried about the cuffs. If it does turn out to be too big, would it be possible to bring it to a tailor to fix? :O Don't think I can submit a change request as i'm on week 12 now...

Edit: wohoo! change request accepted :D

Yup, same exact concern I had.. I was basically sizing up just to fit my shoulders, which would of definitely resulted in a huge waist/midsection circumference, which would of made me look fat lol

Definitely, share those fit pics when you get your new leather

Hey everyone,

I posted a similar question earlier in this thread but unfortunately by the time it was approved it showed up 12 pages back.

I just placed an order for a 2011 Moto - Lamb, and was hoping to get some feedback on the final measurements.

My body measurements are the following:

Shoulders - 17.5"
Chest - 42"
Midsection - 34.5"
Waist - 36"
Front Length - 22.5"
Sleeve Length- 26.5"
Bicep - 14"

Height - 73" (6ft 1in)
Weight - 183 lbs

And the jacket dimensions I plan to go with are: (Note: I told Charly "Ideally I would like the jacket to be pretty fitted, yet still be able to wear a thin hoodie underneath.")

shoulders 18.0"
chest (pit-to-pit) 22.5"
midsection 19.5"
waist 20.0"
body length, front 22.5"
body length, back xxx"
sleeve length, from shoulder 25.8"
sleeve width @ pit 7.6"
sleeve width @ elbow 6.7"
sleeve width @ cuff 5.3"

I know this a pretty open ended question, but I think some insight from people with similar builds and more familiarity with the jacket can help me get the fit right the first time around. Front length was initially 23.5", dropped it down to 22.5" which when standing straight up, from collarbone down, hits a little under my belt loop but above my pockets (jeans sit ~ 3.75" under belly button, and 22.5" front length hits ~5.75" below belly button).

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

- sam

Good to know about the cuffs. My CM (from like Feb. of last year) has really slim wrists when the cuff is zipped, and if I'm wearing a big watch I definitely can't rotate my wrist freely with the cuff zipped, but I thought that was on purpose. I like the really slim wrist when zipped personally, but yeah I have to wear slimmer watches (or no watches) if I want to zip them up.

I'm considering ordering a Moto 2011, but I'd like to see the colors of leathers I can get it in. Sorry if this is a dumb question, is there any page that shows this?

I mean what the colors look like, not what colors are available. The gallery doesn't list what every color of every jacket is, either. But thanks.
