It's okay for linings as it's reasonably durable. I've seen it in cars. Would not recommend for an external surface.

I appreciate those of you who pointed out that Drew and company had created a bag similar in style to what I had proposed (great minds etc.). I'm dissappointed though as I sense Drew and company do not like to repeat themselves so the odds of that bag re-appearing seems neglible.

I checked the gallery and did not find a carry-on style so i"m still hopeful for that.

The seabag probably deserves a re-sampling but I can't be bothered to do it. Last time the turnout was disappointing. I have the feeling the Helmet Bag might meet the same fate and pinedust will end up buying the one off sample, like a new-generation aeglus. lol.

What ballpark are we talking on the helmet bag if you put it into regular production?

Is there a breakdown of the different characteristics of the leathers?

Specifically lamb vs calf vs goat on the moto. Hard to go thru 945 pages of this thread. Thanks!

Yes, I have made this exact post once before. However, I actually don't think there have been a great deal of posts of goat on Moto styles, but I know they exist. I know theres a dark brown goat moto running around. Oh there it is: http://www.styleforum.net/t/217855/the-new-official-toj-thread-2011/22635

It might be nice if you did, even of just the jacket. I try and post pics only of combinations I haven't seen in the gallery or of ones that are less common so people can see what it looks like. I.e. Olive Calf CM.

Drew - are there any economies of scale in having several bags in production at once? The larger product scale might help with marketing in a new area like bags. Also leather bags just seem to make such a logical extension of what you're already doing (assuming you want to extend). Unlike wallets, I presume bags cost enough to justify the full value chain (procurement through shipping). If you had two or three bags you might even get multiple buyers like with jackets.

I agree. It's good citizenship. I'll try and scare up a few pictures if the sun comes out over the next few days.

Is it bad that I already think my first after college job check will be getting me a MA-1 and ToJ leather bag?
I will def need a nice leather bag of some sort for the way to and from work, specially given the environment.
