1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

You answered it yourself - silk is delicate and essentially non-washable. Also, it's very expensive and linings are traditionally not meant to be that expensive, and can be replaceable, at least on tailored things. On a leather jacket, less so, so you need a more durable, permanent lining.

also, Bemberg is just really nice and as you guys know, we deal with a lot of Japanese-made stuff out here because it's essentially local; Bemberg is an Asahi Kasei product and like YKK Japan's product, good quality and available to us. If I lived in Europe things might be different by name, but not necessarily quality-wise.

Any plans for a shorter wool coat, like a non-MA 1 bomber or something?

My basic feeling is that the stock sizes correspond to normal sizing that is actually kind of relaxed. So a 50EU is normally a 40US, and in toj sizing, a 50 will fit a 40" chest, it'll just be relaxed. Actually, it follows Drew's pattern pretty well.

For example, if you hav ea 40" chest and follow his multipliers (1.05, 1.08, and 1.1), you come out with (roughly) 42", 43", and 44". Those actually correspond to sizes 48, 49, and 50: 48 for tight, 49 for slim, 50 for relaxed.

I honestly can't see a better lining for a leather jacket than Bemberg.

You can't dye the hardware, but you can probably "blacken" them depending on their composition. I wouldn't bother though, because you run the risk of ruining the jacket and exposing yourself to hazardous materials and conditions.

You could try running a red or black sharpie over it though and see if that does anything. lol

A size 46 would be way too small. I am 5.9 - 5.10ish, 160lbs, and my 48 was too tight for my liking. My 50 BB (which is roomer than the TOJ1) I wouldn't want to size down on either. So you would probably be best off with a 50-52 TOJ1 with 47ish length.

    QFT.

size up on the toj1 is a MUST.

    I'm 5'10 140lbs and I wear 48.

    Doubt I can even fit into a 46 ..

Oxford arrived....very nice. I'd grab a couple more if you put them in ready to ship stock sizes.

I have a problem. Sometimes when I tell people that my DR is leather they won't believe me because it's so soft.
