let's think back a couple of posts here. I said
    "hey drew, come to LA!"
drew: "I wouldn't drive anywhere to measure you!"

    who's the dick here?

AA, think it might be JAL codeshare though, hope it is because the food is halfway more palatable.

I am just renting a compact, so gas shouldn't kill me. I only need it to go scoot around from pho shop to pho shop, I am on a quest right now.

Here's the interpretation everyone else got, except you:

me: "Anybody want to get measured for a jacket in OC, maybe LA?"
other guys: "I'm down, can maybe go to OC"
you: "come to LA. measure me for pants"
me: "I'm not driving (from OC to LA) to take one measurement (of your waist)"
you: "Drew's penis, yada yada yada"

    reading skillz, son.

48 hrs in California. Considering bag pickup, car time, sleep, it's a lot less than 48 hrs really. Just stopping on the way to elsewhere to eat some tacos and pho with my wife, see a couple friends hopefully. I like stuff about California but 48 hrs is a nice healthy exposure.

America based airlines have crappy food. Even when we held food sampling events for first class, they were OK at best.

I prefer foods from international airlines that are up there in the ranking segment. Of course, they are $$ as well.

When are you coming to L.A.? This job doesn't allow me to postwhore like my former job so I'm not up to date. I might be down to meet up and get measured for a pair of pants. Black is not my color usually, but I may pull the trigger on black pants.

You gotta hit up Cafe Lu if you're going to the OC/Westminster since you spoke of pho.

Can't have nice food on airplanes unless it's cold foods, bread and butter, or just saucy things that are reheatable. Meat and fish are a writeoff, most cooked vegetables as well. That's to say nothing of the budgetary constraints, they can only really give you like $3-5 worth of food cost per meal or less even up in the front cabin, plus a drink or two. JAL has sushi and champagne, which sounds nice, but you quickly realize that $10 or less at a Japanese 7-11 would get you the same thing, it's that level.

the difference is I said it nicely, and you said it like an asshole. like for real? why can't you just accept the fact that it was a hostile answer and move on? grow up.

Am I just out-of-touch for liking DH circa like 2003-2005 a lot more than most stuff available now? Honest question, I feel like me liking older stuff more might have more to do with the trickle-down effect than anything else.

And yeah, between stuff like drkshdw and odyn vovk on one end and LVC and our legacy on the other there isn't a lot of room in that area to wedge yourself in. Waxed trench-type raincoats I think are a lot harder to find though and can be kind of bad ass, although I haven't really looked.
