Unc, burn that fur. Looks a million times better without.

Well, it's possible that in the end the fur was a mistake -- particularly so since it's much different than I expected. I just wanted to give it a shot. I think it could look cooler if it wasn't so big.

Speaking for myself (i.e. not the TOJ target audience), I think it's the most MC friendly of your offerings. That and the A-2, which is nice but I don't think ribbed collar/cuffs looks good on bigger dudes like myself. It also doesn't work with french cuff shirts, which is all that I own.

The 2011 moto is awesome too, but my shirts have tall collars and long points which would look funny popping out of a band collar.

The MDR is probably my favorite TOJ piece, and probably my next purchase, but in the context of how I dress it would be a statement piece. It would look try-hard if I wore it more than once in a while.

The moto/MDR also look best in black or grey IMO. I wear a lot of cotton trousers in beige/brown, and 80% of time time I wear brown loafers. Also my go-to casual shirt is a navy v-neck tee (I have about 25). I don't think black/grey leather would always clash, but it would be something I'd have to think about every time I throw together an outfit.

It's fur from an animal man, what do you expect? The stuff doesn't get shaved down, the animal gets killed expressly because the fur is a certain length and it's to be enjoyed that way. It's like, comparing Jeremy Lin's haircut to mine.

I think it was just a competition thing. Uncontrol wanted twice as many animals to be killed for his jacket than for anyone else's.

    I can respect that.

Well, I had written this ...

It's not like this is the fur I requested and am now mad about it -- I was pretty surprised when I opened the jacket. I could see this fur being really cool on the fishtail, or anything that does not hug so closely to the neck, though. I don't hold it against you -- obviously you can only buy what your suppliers have available, but it's just very difficult for me to wear

As I have been trying to put into so many words - what you can put on paper or photoshop is not necessarily possible in real life; also, there must be liberties taken on the executive side to put practice into play; we exchanged 75 emails for the Uncontrol DR and there were comments I made regarding this over the course of discussion; it was merely trying to align what was fantasy (your photoshop) into a real life, tangible product.

Also, FWIW - your fur collar looks fine, it looks like fur. Shorter hair would either be too thin, or too cropped (like shearling - which is called shearling because it's shorn) - not in line with the design ideals of the jacket, I feel.

I actually don't dislike the fur. I don't think very many other people here could wear that, but it very much goes with the leather pants + anaconda jacket glam thing you have going, you know?

My style is not so much glam as before, so that doesn't help either haha. I'll keep trying to work it into some looks.

And yeah Drew I know there were a lot of e-mails, but this is one of the last ones sent and it was directly in response to you asking me what kind of fur I wanted ... if you think that what you sent is in line with the aesthetic of the jacket, though, I'll respect that. The final call on all the details here was yours.
