real question: im thinking about the fishtail... assuming i order a 44 and taking into account the slouchyness by design, would it look just as big as the duffle above?

i think the drawstring at the waist might help break that "dress" syndrome i have going on with the apc duffle. would the suppression help?

im 5'6 130 pds for ref, a 44 should do right?

APC parka looks like crap on you.

I thought the parka was sized S, M, L and not euro sizing ? I know I ordered an L with XL length.

I think we have an xs too. That sample we made in black we all took turns trying out and we decided that it was a medium/48 in my size continuum.... I think I will start changing euro sizing to the standard American xs-xl, I don't know why I started that beyond the fact I just tend to think of clothes in euro sizing.

drew, have you seen the apc disaster i posted?

should i go for a xs fishtail to avoid the dress-like look? i think the apc was too A-cut for me.

I can't speak for everyone, but I know that I think mostly in euro sizing as well. The numbers make more sense to me than a XS-XL continuum. But it is your show [IMG]

I put on some weight over the past couple weeks and need to shed lbs before I can in good conscience order my DR. [IMG] Blacked out looks sick though. Calfskin looks (and, as my moto attests to, feels) like armor. I don't know if I should stick with calf for my DR, or to go with my original choice of lamb.... When the weather gets better, I'm sure the lamb would treat me right though. (now I'm just rambling.)

Just based on your height/weight I'd put you in an xs, but check measurements with Charly for a definitive answer.

Fwiw I have an apc coat like that from last year or maybe 2 years ago and it fits huge - not sure where they were going around that time but they've been doing these boxy fits that don't really work as intended, IMO. Then again, apc clothing has always been sized kinda weird.

Some art school student crashed into me today as I was walking out of the lecture hall and tore a small bit of leather out of my WV. If that wasn't bad enough, the same gel pen that slashed my jacket left a mark on the leather. [IMG]

Any idea what I can do to fix this? It's larger than it looks in the photo, and is really an eyesore on an otherwise great jacket. I didn't know the lamb was so fragile.

Take it to a leather repair place -- they'll glue it and spray dye to match. I had to do something like this with my goat moto. Should cost very little.

that sucks corsair. The repair method that skunkworks described is about the only way to do it. Fix it, forget it, wear it. It happens with leather jackets sometimes. My dog ate the front corner of my Margiela, the zipper is now broke, and the lining is disentegrating completely, but I wear it like a champ, they look better that way.

If you're a perfectionist, we can repair it, but it would be a long process since we normally don't work in reverse, and it'd cost about a bill for the teardown+new piece of leather, but it's up to individual taste.
