First question: do you wear black clothes? is your usual palette black/grey/white ? If so, go black. If you wear more colors, browns, blues, etc... the medium grey is more versatile and useful IMO. I have both colors and have worn the grey one more often because of the colors in my wardrobe

Interesting with the gray being more versatile. I do love the color and wear more blue / brown typically so maybe that would be a better choice.

Edit: After thinking about it more I think I will pull the trigger on medium gray. I think I was subconsciously leaning that way anyways but I wanted confirmation that it was versatile. Thanks guys!

Regarding the zips, yeah, if you're wearing the lamb stuff, the zip change should not affect you negatively. The VTG is excessively stiff, so the double zip there was key to mobility.

As to the black/gray discussion, I agree with what's said above, with a little more explanation: gray if you use brown as a base color all the time, black if mostly not.

edit: you indicate you do brown as a base color. have you considered the great green or navy leathers Drew is pushing? Dark like the gray, but better imo.
