Toiletry/Shaving Kit HELP!

Hey All,

Longtime reader, first time poster. I'm trying to identify and possibly locate a particular style of shaving/toiletry kit... I'll try to define:

It's a soft-edged (i.e. it's not boxy nor does it stand up by itself) leather satchel kind of kit. Almost looks like a leather portfolio or leather-bound diary in the way that a flap covers up the pouch area, and is secured by a leather string/cord...think tobacco pouch but larger... i guess the closest analogue today would be the toiletry kits that you hang up, and have three different zippered pouches that fold up on themselves...

was something like this ever in fashion, or am I just completely imagining it?
and is there a good source for purchasing anything close to that online?

I appreciate all of your help...

This sounds like a British Army shaving kit to me - if so, Col. Littleton has what you're looking for. Most old-fashioned British leather goods dealers should have something like this.

THANK YOU! This is pretty close (except no buckles and the cord closure system)

Are there any other old-fashioned British leather goods dealers with an online presence?
