I'm currently watching Joy Bauer discuss "healthy" diet advice on the Today Show. This woman has no clue what she's talking about, and is clearly just a servile, puppet spokesperson for the food industry. What really bothers me is that a good part of the millions of viewers that watch this show are probably actually blindly listening to what she's doling out as valid health recommendations. I particularly liked her remark on how "essential" it is to "pump our children full of whole grains". These "nutritionists" are a real issue.

Why do you disagree with the statement "pump our children full of whole grains?" If we did, I bet we'd have a lot less incidents of diabetes.

We could just pump our children full of fewer grains, or even avoid pumping our children full of anything for that matter... Also, most of the **** labeled whole grain really isn't.

A personal favorite from the FAQ section of her website: Q: Does belly liposuction help prevent diabetes and heart disease?
