Well cuffing is supposed to make the fabric of the trousers hang better, and most people on the forum seem to favour them.

I don't like how they look, and I think on smart trousers they make them look less elegant, so I don't have any cuffed trousers.

I think it is really just a matter of personal taste.

I really dont know what i like... :s

I am 6'2 and the trousers dont have 'pleats'but have a crease down the middle. Is it possible to go one way or the oher and then reverse if i change my mind?

Well you can have with cuffs, and if you don't like them just hem straight. However, you likely won't be able to revert back again.

It's a personal decision. I prefer cuffs.

That story from Vox almost made me vomit myself. Thumbs down to cuffs for me.

The story from Vox made this thread bearable.

To the OP:

I like cuffs too, as long as the pants fit slim and tapered, and the leg opening is less than 8.5 inches. If it is a straight leg pant with a 9 inch or larger opening, then I think a plain bottom looks better. I really make different judgements on each pair of pants or suit I get.

Like everyone else said, "try the cuffs, if you don't like em, take em out."

Oh yeah, do you have a girlfriend? Does she projectile vomit? You should factor that in too.

All my pants are lighter fabrics so no cuff here. For heavier weight fabrics I would cuff

General rule of thumb:
If the pants have pleats, cuff, as it avoids any unwanted pleat-spread.

If the pants are flat front, cuffs are not functional, and are purely a fashionable thing...

Whatever makes you happiest!

Always cuff, it helps the pleat lay better. Plain bottoms are more of a casual look and not appropriate for a suit.

That makes absolutely no sense
