Greetings. I'm a noob to StyleForum, and need advice about a pair of TBNY. Bought these (photos here and below) for $100 at a Bloomingdale's outlet, and want to make sure they're decent quality. My intention is to wear them fairly regularly for work, and sometimes for semi-dressy occasions; i.e. all-purpose. The shoes fit well, and I like the look. I think the leather is genuine, because I can see pores. However, I've read through some of the TBNY threads, and I'm aware of the multi-manufacturer issue, and thus I have these specific concerns:
Photos:
- Are they welted? When the sole wears out, can I have my local shoe repair guy resole them, and if so, will my resoling options be limited (e.g. could I switch from leather to a more durable synthetic)?
- The model (according to the box -- and there were several of these on the Bloomie's rack) is "Bryce," but when I search the web for this model I can find absolutely nothing. Can anyone give me any leads for getting more info about this model?
