    hi guys

just a quick question regarding sizing on the TM Lewin shirts.

im interested in getting the casual fit shirts, like this one.
    http://www.tmlewin.com/Red-Oxford-Casual-Shirt/505276493662,en_US,pd.html

in the sizing charts it says the medium is a 16.25 inches for the collar.
Is this true? I ask because most shirts a medium is 15.5 inches.
How slim is the shirt, compared to say a Charles Twyritt extra slim fit shirt??

On the subject of CT extra slim fit, how does it compare to TM Lewin's fully fitted shirt?

    thanks

I think you can be pretty confident that the TM Lewin collar is 16.25. Their returns policy means I wouldn't have any concerns about buying it and then returning it if you find it doesn't fit.

Regarding the comparative sizing. the TM Lewin Fully Fitted shirts tend to be narrower through the chest and the waist than the Charles Tyrwhitt Tailored Fit/Extra Slim Fit, but this is not true for all collar sizes.

When deciding on the collar size, bear in mind that T.M. Lewin's collars shrink a lot.

According to the sizing charts, for the same neck size, TM Lewin Fully Fitted are wider in the chest yet narrower in the waist than CT.

My mistake, wrote that response too quickly. You're correct.

I do have a TM Lewin slim fit shirt. I find the chest to be a little roomy compared to other brands like CT or BB. The waist is good though. I posted something about this on TM Lewin's blog, and someone responded that they acknowledge that there are issues with the slim fit sizing, and they hope to address them next year.

FWIW, the shirt fits me ok because I am barrel-chested. If you don't have this build, I think you will be dissatisfied with the fit of their shirts in the chest area.
