How long does it take to recieve shirts from TM Lewin? I ordered 5 shirts and cufflinks on June 2nd got a confirmation email but have never gotten a ship date and can't figure out how to use my confirmation number. Anyone know how long it usually takes them?

I ordered two suits from them and they arrived in 7 days.  They were sent by mail.  Perhaps your shipment got held up by Customs?

is this from the day everything was 12 gbp, including the 99 gbp shirts? they "lost" all of the orders that day.

Nope it was the day when it was 3 shirts for 90 pounds and 30 pounds per shirt after.

I received no tracking number at all, and I am not certain it was trackable as it was a parcel sent via Royal Mail.

I would suggest sending an e-mail to customer service to inquire whether it was shipped. My contact there was responsive.

Shipping for me has been surprisingly fast. 5 days from UK to Japan. Typically stuff I get sent from the US takes more than 2 weeks. I think it may simply be security/customs procedures that's holding things up. Hopefully my next order well come that fast as well, but we'll see..

I got a reply from TM Lewin today. I was having one of my shirts altered and there was something wrong witht that process that took 14 days instead of the 6 days they had said and they shipped out yesterday. So hopefully i'll have some new shirts soon. Oddly my credit card hasn't been charged yet...free shirts?

yeah, we all wish we could get free shirts, or even grossly reduced shirts*.  most likely they will not charge you until they ship the shirts.

*novaguy, who is still waiting in vain for those shirts....

Since I'm actually considering buying two of their 140's, I fired off an email about chest and waist sizes. Here's what I got:

*****
Thanks for your email the only shrinkage that will occur will be on the collar and sleeve. Due to the construction of the shirt we will allow half an inch shrinkage on both after washing unless it is washed over 40 degrees. The chest and waist measurements for a 16"collar 36" sleeve are as follows - Chest 44" Waist 42" Hip 43" I hope this helps - Many thanks
*****

I assume that the chest & waist measurements are for the wearer, not the shirt, but have fired off a clarifying email to find out. It sounds like the TM Lewins aren't that tapered, but should be better than a brooks brothers. I'm about a 42/43 (with the shoulders of a person with a 44 inch chest), but right now have a 35 inch waist. Does it seem like this is going to be a tent around the midsection?

NoVaguy: I am also a 16-36. I assume from their reply, that I would have to order a 16.5-36.5.

the lewin's will be slimmer then the BB;s for sure. Im a 41 inch chest with 35-36 waist and they are a bit on the fuller side but not blowsy at all.

good stuff lewin...now if only we can find out if they are all still made in the UK
