Few questions:

- What is the proper care for TM Lewin shirts? Will these need dry cleaning/starch? I'm used to Brooks Brothers non-Irons.

- Just how slim is the Duke of York shirts?

- Do the TM Lewin shirts generally run too small, too big, etc? I'm about a 17.5" neck and 34.5" arms ... I'm hesitant to get 36" in the arms as I would think the tailor may have issues bringing the arms in?

- Do the Prince of Wales shirts fit quite a bit more "baggy" than the Duke of York shirts?

Thanks, as always.

I am confused about the sleeve length question. I think you are able to modify the sleeve length when you order.

The Prince of Wales shirts definitely are baggier. However, I much prefer their collars. Plus, slimming down the shirt is a $10 fix (at least at my tailor) and I get my guy to narrow the arms a bit as well.

I would also recommend the Traveler line; I travel a lot and so it's great to have a shirt that doesn't wrinkle. You need to wash them once or twice in order to soften them a bit (the collar can be a bit scratchy given the anti-wrinkle treatment).

Thanks for the info.

Have you had to return anything? I'd hate to order a shirt and modify the sleeve length and have it not fit.

Is the Traveler line closer to the Prince of Wales or Duke of York line?

Traveler is the same as the Prince of Wales line, just with treated fabric. The quality of the material is certainly higher for the regular Prince of Wales line and so I'd recommend you buying some shirts from that before you get a bad idea about Lewin. However, given that I do travel a lot, having a few of the Traveler shirts is good for me.

I've never had to return anything.

Thanks again for the advice.

I too travel a lot, so I've been looking at the Travelers quite a bit. Did you have the Traveler's / Prince of Wales shirts tailored by your tailor at home or through TM?

Getting ready to pull the trigger on two shirts w/ their respective ties and cufflinks (unless I should get them else where).

Curious ... the slim fit duke of york is how many inches slimmer then the classic? I know the slim fit at brooks brothers is 5" slimmer, but even 5" isn't that much and is still a little baggy.

Thanks in advance for the help and advice.

I did buy their enamel oval-shaped cufflinks (in black and lilac) and love them.

What ties are you looking at? I find TM Lewin's ties a little bland...

Thanks for the opinion on the cuff links .. I'm looking at the same.

I'm not looking at anything too flashy, just some of their pink ties primarily.
