Does anyone have any advice on how the VELAZQUEZ last compares to Goya?

I'm a UK9 and find Goya a perfect fit on the loafer, so mulling over a derby in the velazquez last.

One page back:
^^^ Goya, Picasso, Velazquez and also Dali all have the exact same base last, just the toe shape that differs.

I've been looking for a new chukka boots for a little over a year. Firstly I was eyeing Crockett & Jones, but it turned out that Tetbury don't fit me very well and I wasn't able to try on Brecon locally. So finally I've gave up and decided to try TLB - especially that they've released a Artista version and my experience with their higher line is nothing but great. In the end I don't regret my decision. The shoes are great (leather, craftsmanship, fit, etc.).

I've worn them a couple of times and on the third outing I've scratched the toe. Fortunately it was nothing a little cream couldn't mask. And while I was at it I've applied some wax as well and gave them a little shine.

Fantastic, the colour is beautiful. I may have to invest! That's one thing TLB do really well. I got a pair of these boots in blue last year and they were so nice I bought another pair!

Does anybody happens to have a top pic comparing the Hiro vs the Goya last? When it comes to chukkas, I feel that they really doesn't change from maker to maker but, I do like a lot how the Hiro last look on chukkas. But those chukkas above, look really nice. I bet in snuff suede they should look good too.

I just received my first TLB ever, Artista line. Best fit so far and no break-in period. I feel like the leather is much more supple compared to my Carmina’s. I think they are a more refined shoe overall. I am really impressed. What is your opinion?

The only thing I notice is that the toe cap stiffener is softer which makes the mirror shine crack.

The Artista line is definitely above Carmina, but Carmina has more models, lasts, and leather options. If there is an item that both offer then I would definitely go for TLB.

Would you say that the vamp on the Picasso last is quite roomy? Or fairly average? In comparison with C&J (337, 367, 373) or any other English maker (EG 82 for example).

About to finally pull the trigger on the 109 Artista model but I'm still a bit unsure as to how the last would fit.

I would say the Picasso is average. It’s just a very little bit wider than C&J 337.

Thank you. Slightly throws my plans into disarray as the 337 is a bit too roomy for me in the vamp area. 367 fits me well though. I guess I need to speak to Toni on sizing.
