I am thinking about getting my first (brown suede penny) loafer and considering TLB. I am not sure whether I should go with the main line or Artista. The former Jones last looks quite square, the Goya much rounder and more casual, would you guys agree? I have never worn a loafer before and so am not sure about sizing (I wear a 7 in Carmina Oscar/Forest/Rain) and would be interested to hear how you guys think Jones/Goya compare. Thanks so much!

Get Artista. For me main line was a little dissapointment, however Artista shoes are great for the price. On feet they look like a much more expensive shoe.

I was advised to go with size 9 UK considering my foot length is approximately 27.3cm with socks and I tend to wear size 10.5 US with Allen Edmonds (65 last - it seems 10.5 with AE is roughly 27.5cm?), does this seem correct or the case for others here? Just wanting to make sure as I'd have to customize for a wider sole so returns won't be feasible. I figure a slightly larger shoe by half a size is correctable (if I opt for 9.5UK) moreso than a shoe that's far too tight.

There is nothing wrong with the mainline. These shoes a great quality, but the Artista Line has several key upgrades for only a little more money.

What is your width on AE that you need to customize? The TLB Artista lasts aren't particularly narrow. Do you have any other shoes/lasts that you're familiar with your sizing on? I'd use that over the simple length measurement when talking with them.

EEE. I did mention that I wear 10.5EEE US (AE 65 last and 201 last...don't really wear anything else) but he did want to confirm feet length which I provided...considering how well fitting I feel 10.5EEE is, might really just go 9.5 to be safe

I’m a 10.5D on AE and do 9.5 on TLB Artista. Length I’m in the ballpark of where you’re at.

Here is a description for Artista from the website. It looks like they use the same suppliers for both lines, but reserve the best parts of the best hides for the Artista line.
