Anyone had a calf leather shoe get a drop of water on it, let the drop stand for five minutes and have a water spot that required polish to remove? Didn't occur on a TLB Mallorca, but wanting to see if that's a normal thing.
I think the shoe care thread is more suitable for that question to keep this thread on the subject.

If is just water, don't worry. If you have not wiped out when the drop hit your shoe, just wait until the leather dries. Just don't panic and don't apply anything until is dry.

Cheers

Just let try, do NOT polish on top of the water! If it's well mirror shine, probably the water would not even permeate. But if not, just let dry then should be still good or require only little polishing.

Anyone else notice that the shoes with City Rubber sole don't receive the welt fudging? Every pair I've seen looks like they don't bother -- not that I feel it's an issue, but wondering why not?

Side note, is it just me of are the Skolyx 8" large shoe brushes just like way way way better than the Saphir standard sized brushes? Saw a video by Kirby Allison regarding the types of horsehair in some brushes being either mane or tail hair. Seems like the Saphir brush had a lot of shedding early on, but the Skolyx is just softer and less prone to shedding.

The fudging machine can't really handle the rubber sole, hard to get it to roll even, that's why rubber soles aren't fudged (not only TLB, goes for most Goodyear welted who fudge with a machine and with a handheld fudge wheel).

The Skolyx brushes only has hair from the tail, due to being of higher quality less prone to breaking.

This x10. I am only going for tail hair brushes now on. Thinking that the larger Saphir brushes probably are tail hair as well, but they also cost like 2x a Skolyx brush for the same quality, and just lacking the name.

Speaking of Skolyx, which I hope is alright, just very briefly: has anyone tried the belts? Curious about this one: https://www.skolyx.se/en/belts/1141-74098-braided-belt-in-dark-brown-leather.html

(I am looking for a woven belt which TLB does not offer!)
I wasn't impressed by the quality and sent both yanko shoes and skolyx belt back. The lining of the Skolyx belt was easily wrinkled. Carmina and TLB belts are definitely better. Meermin's belt is harder/less flexible, but still in decent shape.

Another ensemble with the branding of the shoes changing to TLB Goya 117 in Light/Medium Brown Suede. Also, the shirt is from the linen cotton blend line.
