Belly fat has no effect on endurance. If you want to go longer before getting tired, just keep pushing yourself. If you want to reduce belly fat anyway, work your core like a monster, and attack it from every direction. Sit-ups, crunches, planks, side planks, hanging leg lifts, jack-knives, etc. Just google "core exercises"

There's no such thing as spot reduction. Working out your core doesn't do much except strengthen and tone it.

To lose belly fat, you need to do high-calorie burning exercises. When you lose fat, you lose it from all parts of your body and your stomach is just one of them.

Toning muscles and reducing fat are two different things. You can have great muscles that are covered by a layer of fat. One good high-calorie core exercise that I really enjoy is going halfway into a Roman chair sit-up, putting a 25lb or 35lb plate against my chest, and twisting as close to 90 degrees in each direction as I can. I do it in sets of 75-100 twists (on each side. Left + right = 1 twist), at about 110-120 twists per minute. I do 3 or 4 sets of this every time I work out.

Muscle tone is the continuous, passive contraction of a muscle. By itself, it has nothing to do with how you actually look.

You asked what toning is, I told you what muscle tone is. Do you really need anything else explained?

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Doing ab exercises isn't gonna get rid of his fat. Caloric deficit will. Do you even lift?

Asks how to get rid of belly fat, you say perform ab movements.

And I supposed this caloric deficit is given to us by fairies while we sleep at night? Or am I right in assuming it happens by way of working out?

He asked about losing his belly fat AND looking fit. Working core will help achieve both of these goals.

Comes by diet and doing actual exercise, not writhing on the floor for 20 minutes. If he wants to burn calories he can lift and sprint. Doing some crunches and russian twists isn't gonna make someone with a high bf% look fit. I like your definition of "muscle tone", muscles get bigger or they get smaller. Toning does not exist.
