Time to ditch these Born shoes?

Or wear them differently? They certainly are not dress shoes... I wonder if they look dated.

(edit: I'm just learning to tie my shoes, apparently...)

If you really have no use for them, toss them.

No, they are not dress shoes. If they’re comfortable, you could wear them when doing odd jobs around the house.

Thank you. I take it that you don't like them under any style. :)

They remind me of the square toe "trend" in men's shoes in the late 90s early 00s that has, thankfully, gone to the heap.

If they are comfy, wear them around the house, but I wouldn't wear them out.

This pair of square toe shoes makes your feet look very short. However I didn't ditch mine. I just never wear them and leave them in my basement. You decide.

My first job out of the Air Force, I was a production supervisor in a automotive production plant. This required me to be on my feet all day running around on a hard cement floor which would kill my feet. The only shoe that worked for me was Born as sneakers were not allowed for managers.

Those shoes gave me flashbacks but they sure are comfy. I recently bought a pair of leather Born sneakers at Nordstrom Rack and they are ugly compared to most leather sneakers but they are comfortable.

Do you guys usually wear shoes in the house?

Thanks folks, I think I have very good replies! I also thought they were out of style and make feet look shorter (they are comfortable, though!). I don't wear shoes in the house and have no need for kick-about-the-property shoes, so I'm passing them to the thrift store. Thanks again!

Thank you! Yes, wing-tips may be in my future. I have an affordable (J&M) pair of derbys, but they have a soft square toe and look dated. I rarely wear black but need a good pair in my stable!
