They had some weird choices...
Isn't Time Person of the Year supposed to be the most influential person that year whether they had a positive or a negative influence? In which case Hitler was pretty hard done by.
IMO the guy who set himself on fire should have been Person of the Year for sparking off riots in every Arab country, a civil war or two (for now) and new governments in several (for now).
he set himself on fire in 2010. would that still make him eligible for the 2011 recognition?
