Time For Some New Denims!

Finally I've gotten the need for some new denim. My 3 + year old High Sierras just aren't cutting it anymore.

I've got 4 choices from DenimBar - awesome website, BTW. And one from Self Edge (which I could actually go to their walk-in shop in San Francisco).

The jeans I've picked out should look decent on me. I'm a heavy set guy, but muscular as well. I have a 38" waist, 28" thighs, and a 30-32" inseam. However, I plan to start dieting soon (about friggin time too!).

Based on that, I've picked these out:

Nudies Baggy Bjorn
Levi's 501 Capital E
Rag and Bone RB11 in Rigid
Flat Head S5003
Super Rifle Cabin

Are there any particular pair of jeans that you might recommend over the others? I earn $ 500 every 2 weeks, so I can't afford to get more than one pair a month. Which pair would you say I should start with?

Thanks!

Jason

If you're about to start dieting your probably better off holding out for a couple of months. What's the point of buying raw denim that you won't have time to break in before they are too big for you?

If you absolutely must get something now, go with something on the cheaper end like APC/Nudies or something used off of the buy/sell thread until you've reached your target size.

I have very similar dimensions, and have been buying/returning high end raw jeans for over a year now. The first thing you should look at is the Iron Heart 634s at Self Edge. They should have a restock of the 38's in a week or so. You should also check out the Earnest Sewn Fulton for a slightly trim but not tight fit, or the Spurr Raw Classic for a looser fit.
