I was channel-flipping the other night and saw the model Tyson Beckford on Make Me a Super Model (okay, I admit it) and he was wearing a v-neck sweater with a tie. I've never thought much of this look (probably out of ignorance), but he rocked it. (He was no wearing a jacket, by the way.)

What do folks think of this look? How can one pull it off?

I guess that you mean that he also wore a shirt?

I think it's a great look and wear it often, but that look is something you hadn't seen before?

I wear it for business casual events. I see it quite a bit this time of year.

For me, it is one of the only uses for my v-necks. I either wear them with just a t-shirt underneath or when dressing, a tie. Something about the shape of the v-neck encourages a tie... I feel weird when I am just wearing an unbuttoned dress shirt w/ a v-neck sweater, like there is that extra space in the v for no reason! At least put a tie there to show it off, IMO.

Call me lazy, but I like it because I only have to iron the collar and a little of the chest area of the shirt underneath.

The secret is wearing the sweater over the shirt and tie.

The other day I saw a guy wearing shoes with pants. Is this a new look?

Easily pulled off look.

a little 'club monaco' for me without some bold prints, but it does look good
