I don't like the way that looks at all.

+1. Everything about it is right, nice tie knot, the wide end drapes nicely, matched up very well and then there is this dangly bit....

    That's... bizarre.

After much introspection, I've come to the realization that 3" - 3.25" is my sweet spot. I'm a fairly skinny guy, so wider ties just look that much odder on me. I went through the painful exercise of getting rid of a lot of my older, wider ties -- although, I have kept some in the hopes of having them "redone" to be less wide.

It displays nicely how you fat farks have screwed tie lengths up for the rest of us...

I like how it draws attention to the general vicinity of his Wang. May be a sign of virility. I'll be trying this at my next family reunion.

    Epic fail.

Colors are blah. And the dangling blade is totally Lapo wanna be gone bad. I can, barely, take the whole leaving the rear blade loose to dangle fad that is going around right now. But this takes it to extremes that I just can't get with.

That looks very wrong. It reminds me of my attempts at tying a tie when I was at primary school. My dad would take one look and shake his head in despair.

Any sign of the back blade of a tie looks fucking shite.
This is just an egregious example so it looks even more shite.

I read an interview recently with Brunello Cucinelli who admitted having to re- tie his tie several times every morning in order to get that studied messiness just right. It's fucking pathetic and marks out the wearer as a desperate arse trying way too hard. You're not a scruffy schoolboy you're a grown man. Act like one FFS.

An excellent example of why we need companies like Hober, because a tie of the correct length is vital in not looking like you have a silk penis.

If it were a fashion candid I would just think that he had the long rear blade tucked in but it had pulled out for the pic. Not sure what the provenance of the pic is so I'm willing to give the guy some benefit of the doubt.

Do you guys experience this problem much? Think it might be more of a problem for slightly shorter males. I'm 6"3 so my ties tend to get a little short.
