Ticket pocket suits on shorter men?

So I'm 5' 7" and was thinking of getting a solid suit with a ticket pocket. Yay or nay? I notice Fred Astaire (a fellow shorty) was fond of the ticket pocket, albiet on sportcoats not suits, and it seemed like he pulled it off well.

If you like it, I wouldn't worry too much about appearing shorter

I'm 5'6 and personally would not get ticket pocket b/c I feel it clutters what little space you have available on the suit. Kind of the same way how I feel about regular pockets on my dress shirts.

I'm 5'5" and did not get a ticket pocket on my last suit. From a theoretical perspective, it breaks up the body more, and makes short men look shorter.

That said, if you like it, get it.

I'm 5'6. I've got suits with tickets and without. I don't think it makes much of difference, other then stylistically. You feeling good about what you're wearing is more important.

It should not be a problem as long as your ok with it.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
