first time in like 20 years that I threw up from exhertion - didn't get hit or anything, just got moving so hard that I felt nausous and then, as they say - met mr. pukey.

wasn't even that unpleasant. I'm just thrilled I have gotten to the point were I can push myself so much, again.

happened to you?

Same thing happened to me a while back. The instructors would work us pretty hard non-stop to the point where we would feel light headed. One day it happened, and I had to excuse myself and went towards the bathroom where I proceeded to puke all over the toilet.

Funny thing was my brother was in the stall next to mine, doing the same thing.

Woo, popped the puke cherry! At my gym (Muay Thai), I've only seen people puke from body shots. Back at my old BJJ school, I think there were a couple of newbies who puked their first time rolling all class.

it was actually ground work class - I am really too heavy to move that easily on the matt. it is getting a lot better, but it takes the stuffing out of me.

Well, I didn't puke, but today, I rolled with a new group, and got submitted or stacked over and over again. I was working with a 230 lber, who was also very strong, and I am 160 lbs, and should be closer to 155 lbs (I fight at 155 or 145 lbs.) Man, am I sore right now. Good ache though.

I've never thrown up from exertion. I've come close though. I felt the stomach acid start to come up my first day rolling but figured it was better to sit out than yack all over the mats. The next 3 days I couldn't get out of bed.

Haha, this reminds me of a wrestling tournament I went to in HS. After weigh ins the team went to the grocery store to get food and some idiot on my team bought one of those huge sub sandwiches thats supposed to feed 6-8 people. He at most of it i think and then proceeded to throw it all up on the guy that he was wrestling later. Dis-gust-ing.

That's awesome. When I was a freshman, I got barely any playing time on Varsity until the state playoffs. We had a conference game one night, and before the game, a buddy ate 2 footlong subway sandwiches. We were getting slaughtered, so we got put in for the last 2-3 minutes, as usually happens in those situations.

He was running down the lane, and puked all over the middle of it. A kid went up for a layup immediately afterward and slipped on his puke and fell on his ass, in the puke. Hilarious.
We watched it during walkthru the next day over and over and over. I'll try to find the video and put it up on youtube and link it if I can.

Awesome. This could be an excellent strategery: communicate to oponent pre-match you've just scarfed down your weight in Quizno's, and that any sudden, jerking moves on his part may result in him wearing it. I know I wouldn't want to go more than 10 seconds....

The really funny part is IIRC the guy from my team was losing on points before he threw up but went on to pin the guy after the stoppage to clean up all the puke.

when i played basketball for this urban team we would play in a crap ass gym with no air conditioning and it was full of windows. so in the summer when it was 32 degrees C outside, it was probably 40 in the gym. i didnt throw up, but had to stop in the middle and walk to the washroom to make sure i didint.

I've often felt like throwing up during kendo practice (specifically kiri kaeshi -- a continuous striking drill), but thankfully never had to. It would suck since we wear the kendo headgear and puking through that would be very messy.

Happened to me in high school. I had just gotten back from Ireland and it was time for football camp. I spent my entire time on vacation drinking and smoking like a sailor.

It was the first day of camp and a day after I had returned. The first thing we had to do were these insane suicides in under 10 minutes. As soon as I finished, I started puking like the ***** from the exorcist infuriating my coach because I had promised him I would work out while I was away. It was obvious that I was in terrible shape, so as soon as I had finished puking he immediately made me run a mile around the track in under 10 minutes (which is impossible when you are at the point of exaustion).
