Carol Christian Poell

Carol Christian Poell (or CCP, much easier to write) isn't really a brand people associate with StyleForum, but our thread dedicated to his work is very active and attracts posters from other forums all the time! Slights aside, CCP is a unique designer that operates in a very small category: independent, iconoclastic menswear that focuses on atypical silhouettes at astronomical pricepoints with no regards to other fashion trends or even the basest concepts of marketing. His clothing is unforgiving, but how it looks - and his techniques - are just awesome. Seriously check it out.

Tricker's

Tricker's might be the polar opposite of CCP, but they're awesome in their own right: a prototypically English brand which is dedicated to creating rugged, blocky silhouette footwear in the finest country hunting tradition. Impeccably crafted (apart from some failed made in Italy diffusion lines, but let's not talk about it), they're tough as hell and worthwhile for anyone, regardless of their aesthetic. As a bonus, you can find them on Sierra Trading Post!

Ande Whall

Ande Whall was big on this forum a few years ago back when people really cared about denim (although you'd be surprised what's coming back...), but they're still great jeans and worthy of mention. Made in New Zealand by a single person - Ande Whall - they're a combination of high-end crafting techniques and quality denim at a good price. Cool.

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)
