I'll confess, my interest in "One Shoe Wardrobe" waned once initial incredulity was supplanted by the standard issue parallel idiosyncrasies and divergences. "Shoeboxes", on the other hand, is ripe with finely detailed character studies, psychological profiles, numerous subplots and a constantly evolving cast of characters. On its surface it is a well constructed whodoneit, with all the twists and turns, intrigue and cloak (covert/chesterfield) and dagger business one would expect. But beneath there lies something far more sinister, a tangled web of intricately woven deceipt, obfuscation and ultimately, I believe, despair for those unwitting or unfortunate enough to have been lured by its seemingly benign entreaties.

I think you know where my vote lies.

(Advance apologies for adding another layer of useless rubbish to a forum that is already full to overflowing.)

I nominate this thread for thread of the week. It can be the feel good independent thread, it may not have all the posts the others do, but it still delivers.

Shoe Boxes just keeps delivering, with twist after twist. Thirty-seven pages and we've managed, unwittingly, to find someone brand new to offend. At this point, it's like a black hole, sucking in all who venture too close. I was heartbroken last night, when it appeared to be collapsing, but it seems to have rallied. Who knows what might happen next?

One Shoe is surreal in its own way, but not enough to take the crown. It can be the thread of last week.

Isn't the shoe boxes thread primarily a back and fourth between a handful of members who were talking about things that no one else understands? If that what characterizes an epic thread, then that must be it.

No need for the "else." No one understands at all, including the participants. It might be SF in its purest form.

To me, Stazy and you will always be "Power Bottoms".

I pick the Shoeboxes threak. Mafoo's obsessions and narcissism do not need our encouragement. On teh other hand, the bigbris thread needs a mohel.
