So I recently played around with mirror polishing on some shoes. Unfortunately within 3 wears, I scuffed a chunk of the wax layer off and just felt like stripping it. It just seems like way too much effort to maintain. I eventually figured whatever solvents were in the wax itself would probably work so I grabbed a tin of neutral Kiwi and an old sock and it worked like a charm.
Now I wonder if I could just buy the stoddard solvent stated in Kiwi's MSDS and use that strip shoes before conditioning.
