People will tell you that you can get a better watch for the same price. But if you like the look and it suits you, wear it and be proud!

I love the 16613. It is serious Euroflash, though. You will be making a statement. But, worn casually with the right colours can look amazing! Had a guy with one sitting next to me at Holt's Cafe here in Toronto. The woman opposite was gorgeous but I had a hard time taking my eyes of the watch!

Bit much for suits, IMO.

The Datejust is a good watxch. I am not a fan of twotone, but it oyu like it, get it. If you don't like it in a couple years you can always sell it and not loose too much.

The datejust will not keep as good value as a SS Submariner or SS GMT Master. I bought a used SS Sub in 1999 for $2800 and just sold it for $2800 so the watch cost me nothing to own.

+1 - Two tone Rolexes do not - hold their value anywhere near what gold or steel do. Look at the market on 2 tone Daytonas, as an example.
One interesting variation is a black dialed Rose gold and stainless - though as others have posted, your range of choices in this $ bracket are numerous and far more interesting (Blancpain, Glashutte, JLC etc)

+1. Datejust is fine, but not in twotone, IMO.

I bought mine in 1971. It worked perfectly until two months ago, when I sent it in for cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment. Similar watches are selling on ebay for 7-10 times what mine cost when new.

not a big fan of the two tone. I would do all stainless before I did the two tone.
